A shot and a personal moment I thought I would share with you. This shot of the small boat in LA Harbor just out of San Pedro wasn’t the best shot of the day, nor was it the purpose of the shoot.
It was just the last shot I took before packing up and heading home.
And the message here is this. Los Angeles has had its trials since I have been here. Many have asked me if I regret having moved here again. And there are times Los Angeles has to seem like one of the most messed up cities you could ever want to see. It has problems, big city big problems.
But it also has more special treasures like this than just about any other place in the world. So the answer is no, I don’t regret having moved back! My only regret would be that I can’t spend a few more moments like this one stolen at the end of a day than I do.
This photo brings to mind something else. So often I hear of this “conflict” between what man creates and what nature creates. Yet in this photo I see nothing but harmony between the two. I believe that one would be lost without the other and, that said, that we also have to respect the symbiotic relationship between the two.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that we see many great new things in the year ahead.
